What the importer needs
- FDA Philippines: License to Operate and Certificate of Product Registration.
- Under the Philippine Food Fortification Act (Republic Act No. 8976), cooking oil must be fortified with vitamin A. For imported products the fortification is done by the foreign producer; otherwise the importer is responsible for fortifying the product before it is distributed or sold.
- Import duties depend on the tariff code and are checked in the Philippine Tariff Finder.
